Well for those who have been following my blog it’s really nice to be back and for those seeing my contents for the first time, welcome to my blog Jessica writes reviews.
This is a blog dedicated to book lovers who are looking for nice books to indulge and get lost in. I also do a little bit of creative writing or poems depending on what you want to call it.
So the book I will be reviewing today is a Chinese book. For those who are familiar with my contents can probably tell by now that I have a love for eastern books.
The book was written by Jiong Jiong You Yao who happens to be the author of Full Marks Hidden Marriage, a book I wrote a review on before. So if you read that book and loved it then you would definitely enjoy this one.
The story is about the female lead Ye Wanwan who was given a second chance at life after she died tragically in the last one. She was reincarnated back to her previous life but in the past way before she died. With the advantage of having the memories from her past life she is determined to find a way to escape the clutches of Si Yehan, a man who claims to love her and wants to keep her for himself against her will.
Ye Wanwan with the help of her memories, now knows the truth about her “best friend”, Shen Meng Qi, a classmate of Wanwan who has an obsession with Si Yehan and wants to get him to leave Wanwan for her instead. Wanwan remembers Meng Qi telling her to dress and act disgustingly so that he sends her away and Wanwan trying desperately to go back to the love of her life, Gu Yue Ze, always listened to her. Little did she know that she was being played by both of them, Shen Meng Qi wanted to get Si Yehan for herself and Gu Yue Ze has been having an affair with her cousin.
They both wanted her out of the picture and they knew how dangerous Si Yehan could be when angry. But things would be different this time because Wanwan already knew about their intentions and was ready to have her revenge on all those who had hurt her and her family including the Ye family who treated her family like trash, but to do so she needs to gain control of her life and that means she has to find a way to escape from Si Yehan.
With her having the upper hand in this life she is determined to live to the fullest but along the way she discovers things that she didn’t know of, not even in her past life and she begins to question a lot of things.
I won’t go further than this so I don’t accidentally spoil the book š but if you are interested in reading this novel you can get it on the webnovel app but as always I know another app where you can read this novel without having to get coins to open new chapters, if you are interested just leave a comment and I will let you know right away.
I would rate this book a 9 out of 10 stars mainly because of how long the book is. The plot however is on point, the settings and details are also on point, you can’t help but create your own movie in your head šš. I would definitely recommend this book to any book lover who is looking for something out of their normal type of book.
This book also have a comic, so incase you’re not a fan of much words you can always go to the comic. You can also find it on webnovel but unfortunately I haven’t found an alternative app for it but you can also find videos of the comic version on YouTube. Just search for Perfect Secret Love and you’re good to go.
